Middle East & North Africa
Results International has been active on many consultancy
projects and also on a number of M&A transactions in this
region. We have advised agencies on expanding into new markets
or fields by finding local partners in places such as Qatar and
Kuwait, or partners in digital. We have also prepared a
comprehensive digital study for one of the main marketing
communications groups in the region and conducted commercial
due diligence for an international network.
The Arab world across the Middle East and North Africa is
polarised - it is not possible to categorise it all as one entity.
Indeed, the only common denominators are the language and, to a
large extent, religion. Everything else differs from one area to
another. Our network of contacts and practical experience, however,
means we know the MENA markets that offer some of the greatest
growth opportunities.
As a result of strong domestic markets, a youth segment
constituting between 40 and 50 percent of a total population of 340
million, market growth and liquidity from oil and gas revenues, the
key markets are expected to show increased momentum in trade
activities. This in turn will reflect positively on the marketing
and communications budgets in the region.
In 2011, there were an estimated 70 million internet users in
MENA ex-emerging markets, accounting for 29 percent of the regional
population. Business IP traffic is also expected to show the
fastest growth rate at 30 percent per annum until 2014.
Add to that the World Cup in Qatar in 2022, and the future looks
very promising.
Results International in MENA was founded in 2008 by Imad
Kublawi, a seasoned marketing communications expert with more
than 30 years' experience working on both the client and agency
side. Our MENA office is based in Dubai with delivery capability
across the entire region.
Results International was the first to offer corporate finance
and strategy advice to owner-managers exclusively in the marketing
and technology industry in MENA.
This led Media Week to say: "Regional experts in the
communications M&A field say challenging times call for more
considered purchases. Better make that 'regional expert' -
singular. For if your agency is looking to buy or sell, there's
only one man who can advise you. His name is Imad Kublawi."
